At Proud Potato, we take hygiene and food safety very seriously, it is one of the many reasons we have such a good reputation. Below is the proof that we work hard to maintain a high level of hygiene at all times. We had to work very hard to get this award and made some major changes to the work environment and the way we work to satisfy the environmental health inspector even futher.

Our most recent hygiene certificate is "Very Good" score with 4 stars, the system has changed recently to the "Scores On The Doors" system. This for the first time makes the hygiene rating of most businesses available for anyone to view on the internet. Proud Potato is on the site with the same information as on the certificate below. But you can compare our hygiene score with that of other businesses in the Hillsborough area, you will be surprised!

Healthy Choices Award
We have recently also received the Sheffield Healthy Choices award below next to the hygiene certificate, which recognises businesses with a high hygiene score and also conscience of its customers health. A long list of criteria has to be met to get this award such as using lean meat, using vegetable oils instead of lard or butter and using light mayonnaise in recipes as we do at Proud Potato. This is not a very common award in Sheffield and is difficult to achieve so we are very proud of having it.
